Our Mission

The Duxbury Litter Patrol was created to organize public awareness and clean-up events and to continue ongoing litter removal in Duxbury using the support of volunteer citizens throughout the community.  Our primary areas of focus are litter cleanup and prevention through education.

What We Do

We recognize that litter is more than a nuisance, it hurts property values and erodes our sense of community pride. Together we can make a difference.  Here are just some of our recent activities:

How You Can Help

• If you see litter, pick it up! If you go for regular walks or walk the dog, why not take a bag and clean up what you find along the way?
• Teach your kids that it’s wrong to litter. Set a good example and encourage them to participate in the Biannual Duxbury Litter Sweep.
• If you’re a student, organize projects to clean up your school grounds and increase the level of awareness about recycling.
• If you own a local business, clean up any litter in the area surrounding your building. Landscape your grounds and take pride in the appearance of your building.
